Am I eligible for Medicare Part D?

You are eligible to apply for a BlueRx (PDP) plan if you:

• Are entitled to Medicare Part A and/or are enrolled in Medicare Part B
• Are not enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan which already includes drug coverage and,
• Are a resident of Maryland, the District of Columbia or Delaware.

If you live in Virginia, the BlueCross BlueShield Prescription Drug Plan is offered through Anthem BlueCross BlueShield.

If you already have prescription drug coverage through a union or former employer, please check with your benefits administrator to find out whether you should apply for Medicare Part D or keep the coverage you have.

If you have a Medigap plan that includes prescription drug coverage, contact the insurance company that offers your plan for information. You should receive a letter from your carrier explaining how your benefits compare to Medicare Prescription Drug benefits. This letter should also outline your options regarding prescription drug coverage.
