Seven Lots of ACEON® (perindopril erbumine) Tablets Recalled

Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is voluntarily recalling specific lots of 2 mg, 4 mg and 8 mg ACEON® (perindopril erbumine) tablets, in 100-count bottles, at a pharmacy and wholesaler level.

ACEON®, an oral medicine used for the treatment of hypertension, was recalled when trace amounts of a foreign substance, believed to be latex, was discovered in the manufacturing of specific lots of this medication (see specific lots below).

Pharmacists and wholesalers are urged to immediately check their ACEON® inventory to determine if they are currently stocking any of the following lot numbers. For questions regarding the recall, call Solvay Pharmaceuticals at 800-241-1643, option 1 or for medical questions use option 8.

ACEON (perindopril erbumine) 4 mg Tablets, 100 Count/NDC# 0032-1102-01: Lots 3063489, expirations 12/2009; 3063490, expiration 12/2009; and 3064276, expiration 1/2010.

ACEON (perindopril erbumine) 8 mg Tablets, 100 Count/NDC# 0032-1103-01: Lots 3063493, expiration 12/2009; 3064277, expiration 1/2010; and 3064278, expiration 1/210.
