Lipitor Drug Recall - Specific Bottles of 40 mg Lipitor Recalled

The FDA and Pfizer have recalled specific bottles of 40 mg Lipitor, also known as atrovastatin, due to a strange odor related to the bottles. Each bottle contains 90 tablets, with and expiration date of January 2013.
Further investigation has determined that it is not likely that this odor would cause an adverse medical reaction in patients taking the drug.
Recalled lot numbers (NDC Numbers: 0071-0157-23) include:
- 0855020
- 0819020
- 0842020
- 0843020
- 0854020
